Is some awesome shoes. I've been surfing deviantart for about half an hour now and I keep seeing all these snazzy self designed shoes.... like these ones: http://bri-chan.deviantart.com/art/snow-cindy-shoe-commission-90706785

Except if I were going to pick a Disney movie for my shoes, it would be Beauty and the Beast. All the way man. Belle is the best of the "princesses" in my opinion.

Also I really, really, really want a new computer. I'm sick of this stupid piece of crap Dell. Anyone got any suggestions?

Also. Super creepy. Went for coffee today and there was a car accident on the way. And I was walking. And the coroner wasn't done. I think you can piece the rest together. Needless to say....ICKY!!!!!!!

That is all.

-Imp Out!

So yeah. Being that I want to be an actor and all, I have to get headshots taken. And I have hard copies in about three weeks. And me being me, thought that I had lined up a slot with a photographer, which turned out to not actually be lined up. And now that photographer is booked until October. So now I have to run around like a freaking chicken with it's head cut off, trying to find someone who is not going to rip me off and available in the next week-ish.

Why oh why didn't I just major in business like the parentals wanted?

Character Meme!

AND THE CHARACTER IS: Aang!

1. Do you like this character?

Umm... to be honest not really. He's supposed to be the hero of the story, but I always found that Zuko came off more as the hero, esp. when you look at the Hero's Journey.

2. What name/s do you call this character?

The Avatar, Twinkletoes, Pedo-Bear's Number One Fan

3. What image-color do you associate with character?

a circus clown. a really stupid and annoying circus clown. with a big yellow wig.
   4. What image-song do you associate with character?

In the Hall of the Mountain King - Edvard Grieg

5. What blood-type do you think this character is?

AB -, because he's already got everything else rare, he might as well have the rarest blood type.

6. Of all of the titles that this character appears in, what character do you like to put this character with?

Aang with his hand... or Meng. I can't stand Kataang, it just makes me feel uncomfortable.

7. What would you want to say to this character?

  Dear Aang,

While I appreciate your efforts to bring peace to the world here's a few tips on how to be a proper savior:

1. Take a note from Luke Skywalker: Being whiney only makes one person feel better...you.

2. Also please take note of the example of Anakin Skywalker. It is usually much more epic and savior like if you DIE in battle with the ultimate evil taking him along with you, not pussying out and taking the easy way out.

3. Jebus did not have The Staples easy button attached to his back. Neither should you.

4. The savior never gets the girl. She usually goes to the rugged rogue with a heart who has turned to the side of good. *points to Han/Leia*

5. Also... please to be shutting up.

K. Thx. BAI

8. Which do you want to do with this character: Shake hands, hug, or kiss?

I'll take none of the above and instead go for the option where I get to gag him.

Yeah I do not like me the Aang. I just find him annoying. That show was all about Toph and The Fire Nation Royalty for me.

So I Just Found Out April is National Poetry Month....

    <lj:music>Wind in the Leaves</lj:music>

And being the completely unoriginal putz that I am... I'm ganking the idea to post a poem a day (or atleast try) from Saskaia.

I also apologize for having been massively M.I.A. the past couple of months. I've been working on a play that opens in two weeks so I've been super busy.

ANYWAYS... I give you poem one:

Praetorian Rhapsody

I do bite my thumb at you sir!
Spoke the penguin to the sky
But why should he spake of this
Shakespeare is eons dead
Dead and gone like so many before him.
Yet the penguin speaks on…
How strange to see such a small thing in such a state
But stranger things I have seen and heard
In my short but much spoken of life
Pomegranate tears from the mountains of India
Those watery eyes all find a watery grave
“Speak” cries the river, moans the puddle, sighs the sand
Speak and be known, be heard, be still
Can a cello speak without a player?
Can spring still be spring with snow?
Long have I wandered and long shall I wait
Compassion shows its face only at mid-morning
Reflected on a lilac pond that speaks of years gone by
My mind does not remember but the soul seems to know
Where is the scarf? In the kitchen, speaks the penguin.
“To be or not to be” but that speech is old
Give us something new, (SPEAK!) Give us something true
But alas one by one those speaking, chattering penguins
Are stealing what’s left of my speech and my sanity.

-Written by Yours Truly
(Cause during this month I might totally cheat and just give you other ppls poems that I just think are awesome. And No I'm not going to pretend I wrote them.)

I had to write this for Creative Writing and the point was to repetitively use one word, though I kind of ended up using two (speak and penguin)

<lj:music>It's a Library... think about this one real hard.</lj:music>

The more they really do stay the same.

I unabashedly admit that I will occasionally "stalk" people I went to high school with on Facebook. Ok not stalking in the normal sense but since everyone puts their entire life on the internet these days, when I'm bored I'll go troll though the pages of people I used to see on a regular basis.

And it's kinda funny. People really haven't changed all that much, at least from appearances, in the last four years. The party people still party, the pretty girls are still silly and pretty. I was kinda expecting more. Although Tommy now looks like a certifiable bum instead of just a stoner.

So it makes me wonder what people say about me when they see me and how I appear now. Heh, there's probably a few more incriminating photos lying around now. I dunno. It'll be interesting to go to my 10 year reunion that's all I have to say.

In other news I'm really over the complete anal-retentive OCD-ness of my roommates. I mean I can deal with their need to clean the common areas of the apartment as if we live in a surgical suit, but now my own personal space is being brought into play and I've kind of had enough. It's like ok, I can deal with vacuuming the fucking couch twice a week, but I am not going to tidy up MY DESK just to make them happy. It's my desk and if I function better with it being kind of a disaster area, then that's my prerogative! It just frustrates me because I feel like I am always the odd man out when who always has to kowtow to what everyone else wants and just once I would like to not have to be the one who submits. Meh, I mean on the one hand come May I'll never have to talk to these people again if I don't want to, so in someways it seems a waste to bother, but one the other I need to start standing up for myself! I mean seriously, vacuuming a couch? WTF?

At least I have tomorrow to look forward to! Kaitlyn and I are going to the FIDM exhibit of movie costumes from the past year! YEAH!!!! KAITLYN TIME!!!! It's going to be a blast so I'm excited!!!

And to conclude, a joke for your amusement:

Three Explorers Choose Their Deaths
A Frenchman, an Englishman and a New Yorker are exploring the jungle and are captured by a fierce tribe.

The chief tells them, "The bad news is that we've caught you, we're going to kill you, and then use your skins to build a canoe. The good news is that you get to choose how you die."

The Frenchman says, "I take ze poison." The chief gives him some poison; the Frenchman says, "Vive la France!" and drinks it down.

The Englishman says, "A pistol for me, please." The chief gives him a pistol; the Brit points it at his head, says, "God save the Queen!" and blows his brains out.

The New Yorker says, "Gimme a fork." The chief is puzzled, but he shrugs and gives him a fork. The New Yorker takes the fork and jabs himself all over -- the stomach, the sides, the chest, everywhere. Blood gushes from every hole.

The chief screams, "What are you doing?"

The New Yorker looks at the chief and says, "So much for your canoe, asshole!"

<lj:music>Hello Dolly - Put On Your Sunday Clothes</lj:music>

Itemized rant into order that I do not loose track or focus.

Item One: Superstars of Dance

EPIC FAIL AMERICA!!!! WTF!!!!!! GRRRR!!!!! I'm sorry but I am not happy about the fact that they kicked off that entire fraking Irish team in favor of some really untalented dancers. Let me splain why I'm supremely furious. They have three categories on the show, soloists, duets, and groups. Now I'm willing to admit that the remaining Irish soloist and duet were not as good as some of the other. BUT OUR GROUP WAS AWESOME SAUCE!!!! The precise movements, the syconicity, the elegance and beauty were just magnifique! And they kept the the stupid Australians who honestly... lame as all hell. And the FUCKING SHAOLIN MONKS!!! WTFBBQ!!!!!!!!11111 I'm sorry but while what those monks do is insanely impressive and obviously requires a vast amount of skill... it's NOT dance people. It's kung fu. Now dance might borrow elements of kung fu and vise versa but when you look up kung fu, or any martial art in the dictionary, IT IS NOT DEFINED AS DANCE!!! THOSE FRAKKING JUDGES ARE JUST DAZZLED BY FLASHY MOVES AND CUTE BENDY KIDLINGS!!!!!! RWAR!!!!!! Ok... I think I've made my point on this item.

Item Two: Upcoming New NBC show Kings

Someone explain to me why network television is stealing from the bible and disguiseing it with a modern setting and cute boys to feed it to the unsuspecting masses? Please. Granted I've got no problem with the story of King David (which is what the show is based on.) And I know that much of America is Christian. But seriously, have things really gotten so bad in the entertainment industry that they have to hijack stories from the bible. They didn't even go to the trouble of changing most of the names from the stories, to atleast make it look like the writers came up with something on thier own. Remind me again why I want to work with these feckless morons?

Item Three: American Idol

Go. The. Fuck. Away. You. Fail. At. Life.

Item Four: The Pre-empting of my regularly scheduled program for yet another useless political update.

Maybe I'm ridiculously apathathic about the whole thing because I got screwed out of my vote but I'm kind of at the point where I just don't care about any of it anymore. Obama is President, so shut the hell up already with re-capped of every baby he kissed, every hand he shook, etc. to get there. I honestly don't care. Talk to me in about 6 months to a year when the man's prove that he can actually run the country and then I'll be interesting in watching his publicly broadcast addresses. Otherwise GTFO of my tv and let me go back to watching Ugly Betty in peace.

Item Five: Tuesday Nights

T.V. used to be Epic Fail on Monday for the longest time. But aparently the networks have gotten bored with this and made Tues the night of there is nothing on worth watching. I hate tuesday nite television. I sat in front of the tv for at least two hours tonight trying to find somehting to watch. I ended up just continuely flipping trying to find something of interest. I mean is it really that hard to make sure that there's one show worth watching on EVERY NIGHT of the week? Sometimes I that I live now. Quality got thrown out the window years ago to make way for quick, fast, and cheap so that Mr. TV Exec. can brings home his millions every week. Sigh. I was not meant for this era. TIME MACHINE WHERE ARE YOU?!?!?!?!?

Item Six: ....

There is no item six I just didn't want to end on an odd number. That's all I have for tonight. Coming soon my rant about the Disney corporation and thier evil ways. Included will be a play by play of the destruction of young female psyches and malicious corporization of the House of Mouse.

Pip, Pip Cheerio.

Hmm... since I pretty much loathed High School... I'm inclined to go with that second option.

However If I could be given the opportunity to attend maybe Hogwarts or The Xavier Institute for Higher Learning I'd totally do high school again. Cause then I'd be a BAMF with powers of awesome!

<lj:music>Harry Connick Jr. - It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year</lj:music>
So I'm home fore Christmas! ( I will nto be talking about school because I'm in denile that it's ending in May for good.)

Good things about being home:
- SNOW!
- No roommates for 4 weeks! I have my room to myself!
- Snow
- My 22nd birthday is coming up on the 20th of December. Gawd I'm getting old.
- Snow
- Sleeping in my giant bed.
- Snow
- Getting to see all my friends again
- Snow
- Everything awesome and cheesy and traditional about Christmas (even the forced mass attendance. At least the church always looks pretty and the sing all the really good songs at Christmas. though I can guarantee you i'm going to fall asleep at midnight mass.)
- Snow
- 4 whole homework free weeks
- Did I mention SNOW!!!!

Not so awesome parts of being Home:
- COLD FEET!!! IN THE HOUSE!!!!
- Mum and her nagging
- Everyone and thier mom bugging me about "the future" Plz go away. Those questions make me freak out.
- There is no food in my house that does not take at least half an hour to make. GIVE ME EASY MAC!!!
- New boss at my old job which means I might have a lot of free time over the next three and a half weeks.
- Having to wear a billon layers to go anywhere and thus achieveing the appearance of the Marshmallow Guy from Ghostbusters everytime I walk out the door.
- Being forced to go to Mass every Sunday. Hi parental units I'm almost 22 can I please be in charge of my religious choices now? To be honest even though I'm not Jewish I 'd rather go to temple than Mass. 1) Because Jewish people rock, 2) because I love listening to people speak in Hebrew, it's a very lyrical language and 3) I like how Jewish services (the very few that I've been too) always seemed much more communial and welcoming than many Churches I've been to.
- Mum and Dad finally got rid of dial-up but now only the computer hooked up to the stupid box from Quest gets the internet. Which means I can't get squat done on my computer cause I can't geton the net! BOO!!!!

Anyways, I'm going to go sunggle up under my nice warm comfoter and read Sense and Sensibility for awhile. Nite All!

<lj:music>Evil Hairspray Music Coming Through the Wall.</lj:music>

I love theatre people. I really do. I mean I'm one of them.

But when they decide at 2 in the morning after Thanksgiving to watch Hairspray really loudly next door, loud enough to the point that I can hear every word, I am not a fan!

Thanksgiving was fun my cousins Jennifer and Tim came in and are staying with me in my apartment on campus! We went out to dinner at this restraurant I've never been to and I made my dad's Pumpkin Chiffon pie for dessert which turned out fan-fucking-tastic if I do say so myself.

Strange and sad news received have I. To protect the identities of those I care about I will simply say that two people I care very much are aparently not as much in love as I previously thought. Or at the very least one of them isn't because they left. Which depresses me because if they aren't togehter anymore, and I thought they were perfect, what's going to happen to me when I find someone I think I could love forever.

Sigh.

Too many things to do for school and I have no motivation to do any of them and exams start a week from Monday. Bleck. As such, bum that I am may be a little M.I.A. until after exams are over.

On a more happy note I HAVE FAMILY HERE!!! ALL WEEKEND!!! YEAH!!!!! And on saturday we're going to the Notre Dame vs. USC football game!!! Woohoo!!!! Though the odds of Notre Daem winning are slim to none.

Anyways, I'm going to go sleep now.

BYE!

Atonement: A Review of Sorts

    <lj:music>None - Roomie is Asweep.</lj:music>

So I finally saw Atonement tonight. Just finished watching it actually.

And it pretty much broke my heart. I mean I figured it didn't have a an overly happy ending, considering it got nominated for an Oscar (these days seems a movie has to insanely depressing in order to be up for an Oscar), but this really was heart-wrenchingly sad.

*SPOILER ALERT*

I had always kind of figured that Robbie died, but the whole scene in Cecelia's apartment really threw me for a loop. I was expecting him to die after that, not to find out that he died in France. And then the fact that Cecelia died too. That killed me. I couldn't imagine living with myself after all of that if I were Briony.

There were some things I didn't quite understand though. Like the whole thing in the orchard where Robbie stumbles across all the dead girls in the black dresses....WTF? That just seemed completely random. And also the moment that Briony has in the hospital with the dying French soldier. I didn't understand what that was about either. Was that just to reinforce to Briony the reality of life? That as a child she had no understanding of the consequences of her actions? I was also confused by everyone's complete willingness to believe the words of an small child in regards to the whole rape thing. Maybe I just don't completely understand the mindset of 30's England, but it seems to me a child would be the least responsible witness. I do understand the blaming of a servant even though the rich man committed the deed. That sort of thing still happens today. I think I just don't understand why they were all so willing to believe Briony, even before she handed over the letter.

One of the things I liked best about the movie was how they would start off with Briony's POV and then go back and show how things really happened. It made understanding how a child sees the world much clearer. Though being twenty-one and not living under a rock, I really didn't find the scene in the library all that scandalous. Kinky, yes. Scandalous, no. But I can see how a child would interpret that whole thing. I also really enjoyed James McAvoy as Robbie. I mean I'd love James McAvoy if he just sat on screen and read the phone book, but he was intensely engaging as Robbie. I'm so gald someone realized this boy, excuse me, MAN has talent and saved him from being Mr. Tumnus-esque characters for the rest of his life. I sort of fail to see how some people thought Keira Knightley warrented an Oscar nod for this, other than perhaps her ability to wear green silk really, really well. I mean she was good, but not THAT good.

Overall it was a really touching movie, but just very, very sad. I don't think I'll be watching it again anytime soon, because honestly, it make sme kind of sad. I think that's the kind of movie I'd have to watch when I'm really happy and lock in a drawer when I was falling down. Don't get me wrong I loved it, I'm a romantic, I'm a complete sucker for this kind of story. It just is not something I'd want to watch again and again and again, like say, Iron Man.
